Deciding on an Oral Appliance?
Oral appliances are a great solution for patients wanting a more convenient and comfortable alternative to CPAP therapy. This small, custom-made device works by gently shifting your jaw forward, keeping the airway open while you sleep. They’re quiet, portable, inconspicuous, and simple-to-use.

Types of Oral Appliances
At SoundBridge Dental Sleep Therapy, we feature a number of different oral appliance brands to ensure each patient receives the best solution for their needs. Dr. Iregui offers the following oral appliances:
This device is attached to the back molars on both sides of the upper and lower jaw. It works by moving the lower jaw forward while placing backward pressure on the upper jaw. This properly aligns your teeth and jaws, improving your overall bite.
The AVEOtsd (TSD stands for Tongue Stabilizing Device) attaches to the tongue and works by gently pulling the tongue forward. This stops it from falling back and obstructing the airway. The AVEO improves breathing and reduces snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Narval is a MRD, or mandibular repositioning device, designed to treat snoring and OSA. Each appliance is custom-made to fit your unique bite, making it easy to wear while sleeping. Narval is constructed with computer-aided design and manufacturing technology (CAD/CAM).
OASYS Oral/Nasal Airway System™
This dental device works by concentrating on upper airway resistance in the nasal area and blockage in the throat region. The OASYS strengthens the throat area by pulling the lower jaw and tongue forward to prevent an obstruction in the airway.
The Oravan has an upper and lower component connected with telescopic hardware, allowing for easy lateral and vertical movement. This appliance promotes natural tongue projection, increased airflow, greater comfort, and doesn’t interfere with prior dental cosmetic procedures.
The SUAD appliance is produced from a laboratory-grade impression of your own teeth, allowing for greater lateral movement. It’s comfortable, effective, and best of all, it’s specifically designed to endure the forces of teeth grinding, also known as bruxism.
SomnoDent SUAD™ Ultra
This oral device achieves unparalleled airflow by greatly increasing tongue space through added components to the surface. The SUAD Ultra is non-restrictive, allowing patients to fully open and close their mouth while wearing their appliance.
