Seeing Your Dentist for Sleep Apnea Relief
According to the American Sleep Apnea Association, approximately 22 million Americans suffer from sleep apnea. Unfortunately, most patients don’t know that they’re dealing with a severe condition, and it’s likely that they haven’t sought the appropriate help—80% of sleep apnea patients go undiagnosed. Sleep apnea is a critical condition that if left untreated can lead to strokes, obesity, heart attacks, and more.
The most common medical profession to notice sleep apnea symptoms are dentists. This is often the case because dentists are experts of the oral structure — including the throat — which is where obstructive sleep apnea develops.
At SoundBridge Dental Arts & Sleep Therapy, Dr. Iregui will work with you to ensure that you get the correct diagnosis from a physician and the treatment that you deserve.
